Apple Cornbread

Ingredients:
2 cups white cornmeal
2 tablespoons sugar
¾ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 2/3 cups milk
3 apples, pared, cored, sliced

Directions:
  1. Mix the dry ingredients together.
  2. Add the milk and beat thoroughly.
  3. Add the apples and mix.
  4. Pour into well-buttered pan and bake at 450 degrees for 10 to 12 min
